About our Youth Workshop

Earth Connection is offering a limited number of Youth Workshops to the Northern Virginia area for the calendar year 2006.  Please contact us for workshop offerings and availability.  Sorry, but weekend scheduling will not be available.  

Our school's mission is to share the concept that all of our ancestors lived in a similar way. It is from this prehistoric common ground that we learn lessons about cultural understanding and harmony today.  We also want kids to know the skills they need to stay safe and comfortable in the outdoors

Earth Connection’s Youth Workshops have been conducted by Tim MacWelch since 1995.  Some of the audiences for these workshops have been schools, church groups, Cub Scouts, Webelos, and Boy Scouts, most notably, the Blue Ridge Rendezvous Camporee in 1997 for over 450 scouts and in 1999 for over 150 scouts.  We were also living history presenters at the Prince William Rendezvous in 1998 for over 500 scouts, and for the 1998 Native Heritage Festival at the Weems-Botts Museum in Dumfries, Va.  We also ran a program on wilderness survival for REI's Outdoor Jam youth event in March of 2000.
