Winter Tree & Plant Identification

Ever wondered how you could tell which species of trees you are encountering, once the leaves are down? 

This course will focus on the skills to identify vines, trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants in the dead of winter. You don't need leaves for plant and tree identification, once you have the proper tools and know-how. There is a surprising set of "fingerprints" on every twig, details that can tell you which family the plant belongs to, and even the genus and species! Get ready to look at the Eastern Woodlands in a whole new way.
